“You have a talent that is unique in its expression, so unique that there is no one else alive on this planet that has that talent or that expression of that talent. This means that there is one thing you can do, and one way of doing it, that is better than anyone else on this entire planet” This quote is by Deepak Chopra, from his book The Seven Spiritual Laws Of Success. Today, we will dig into the seventh law, which is the law of Dharma or purpose in Life. This is one of my favorite laws, and we are going to tip our toes in finding out how unique you are. He says, and I quote: "Everyone has a purpose in life… a unique gift or special talent to give others. And when we blend this unique talent with service to others, we experience the ecstasy and exultation of our own spirit, which is the ultimate goal of goals." You may not know it yet, but you have a special talent. I have a special talent. Maybe you don't know what is your special talent yet, and that is fine, but you do have something special inside of you. I may not know you personally, but you know yourself, and you know that what I am saying to you right now is true. Is it not? A big part of what we do here on this channel is to find our purpose and to expand it, and tighten that gap between who we are today and who we could be at our highest selves. Finding our vocations, our virtues, our strengths. We will continue to do so, forever, because we grow and evolve and modulate. So. What is your unique talent? Before we answer that question, let’s take a look at a few of our favorite teachers on this channel, and check out their views on that subject of dharma slash purpose slash calling slash vocation. Let’s start with my favorite, you all know who that is, Marcus Aurelius, emperor of Rome and Stoic philosopher: “Everything—a horse, a vine—is created for some duty… For what task, then, were you yourself created? A man’s true delight is to do the things he was made for.” So typical of the stoics. Before even talking about purpose, they talk about duty. Buddha puts it this way: “Your work is to discover your work, and then with all your heart, to give yourself to it.” First, discover your work. And then, when you find out, go for it 500% Let’s move on to Abraham Maslow. He says: “Musicians must make music, artists must paint, poets must write if they are to be ultimately at peace with themselves. What human beings can be, they must be. They must be true to their own nature. This need we may call self-actualization.” Krishna, in the Bhagavad Gita, says: “It is better to perform one’s own duties imperfectly than to master the duties of another. By fulfilling the obligations he is born with, a person never comes to grief”. Emerson says: "Nature arms each man with some faculty which enables him to do easily some feat impossible to any other, and thus makes him necessary to society.” Amen to that! Whatever your calling, your special talent, your purpose or vocation is, this is what makes you so valuable to society. What comes easy to you might seem impossible for another, and vice versa. Russell Simmons says: “Your purpose is to act on the resources God gives you. If God gives you a bucket of fish, you have to distribute those fish. If you don’t, they are going to rot, attract a bunch of flies, and start stinking up your soul”.
JOURNALING EXERCISE
Question 1: What is your unique talent? Dig in deep, don't be shy, write it down.
Question 2: What were you put on earth to do? Again, dig in deep, don't fool yourself, be honest, only you will read that.
Question 3: What is your unique blend of skills?
Question 4: How will you use these skills as your gift to the world?
PS before or after you’re done writing: let the community know in the comments section if you have ever felt that noting sensation within yourself, because you were not doing what you were really meant to do (ie: should sucking job maybe).
EMPOWERING AFFIRMATIONS OF THE DAY
* I live my dharma, and never the dharma of someone else
* I am unique in every way
* I have a unique set of skills that I use daily, in service to the world and to the people I love
* Never again, will I let the fish the universe hands me rot my soul

“The moment you relinquish your attachment to the result, combining one-pointed intention with detachment at the same time, you will have that which you desire.” This quote is by Deepak Chopra, from his book the seven spiritual laws of success. I highly recommend you read that book, it is very small and won’t take you more than an hour or so, but it’s packed with wisdom and it is basically a huge quote. Today, we will dig into the sixth law, which is the law of Detachment. In the description below this video, you will find the whole playlist. For now, let’s dig right in Let’s start by reading a passage from Deepak Chopra’s book “The Seven Spiritual Laws of Success”. "The law of Detachment says that in order to acquire anything in the physical universe, you have to relinquish your attachment to it. This doesn’t mean that you give up the intention to create your desire. You’d not give up the intention, and you don't give up the desire. You give up your attachment to the result" I like this concept, and it is very intertwined with what we learned yesterday on the law of intention and desire right? We often get too obsessed on whether this relationship, or this job, or this new business venture is going to work. Often times, it can be paralyzing. We are so attached to the results, that we don't have the right energy to make things happen smoothly. That doesn’t mean that you should not care about what you are doing, on the contrary, it means that you need to maintain your passionate commitment to your ideas and goals and intentions and desires. Just don't be too attached to the results. The question you may ask now though, is well how do you stay motivated? How do you keep the tension? The answer is easy: by continuing on the path. By taking the next step in your plan or process. If you do that, preferably with excellence and integrity, the results will come on their own. The money will come, the love will come, whatever it is you desire. But if you focus on the results… you’ll get lost in your dream and get paralyzed by your fears. So. What do you guys think? Ready to take the next step?
JOURNALING EXERCISES
Write down in your journals, what your desires are. Choose one or 2 really important desires you have. Dreams even. Now write what the next step is that you need to take to make that desire come true. Don't worry if it will work or not. In fact, I want you to title that step PLAN A. If it doesn’t work out, don't stress. You’ll get on Plan B. If that still doesn’t work, well you have a whole alphabet. Focus on the next step, not on the result.
EMPOWERING AFFIRMATIONS OF THE DAY
* I am not attached to outcomes. I am committed to the process
* I act with passion every single day. The results will knock on my door eventually.
* I am passionately committed to my intentions while staying detached from the outcomes

“Learn to harness the power of intention and you can create anything you desire” This quote is by Deepak Chopra and is a perfect little introduction to today’s episode. We are continuing on our path to dig into this awesome little book titled is The Seven Spiritual Laws Of Success by Deepak Chopra. Today, we dig into the fifth spiritual law of success, which is the Law of Intention and Desire. Let’s start by reading a passage from Deepak Chopra’s book “The Seven Laws Of Spiritual Success”. He says, and I quote: "One-pointed intention is that quality of attention that is unbending in its fixity of purpose. One-pointed intention means holding your attention to the intended outcome with such unbending purpose that you absolutely refuse to allow obstacles to consume and dissipate the focused quality of your attention. There is a total and complete exclusion of all obstacles from your consciousness. You are able to maintain an unshakable serenity while being committed to your goal with intense passion. This is the power of detached awareness and one-pointed, focused intention simultaneously." This is a brilliant differentiation between desire and intent. Your intent does not have any attachment, but your desire does. It is important to work on your ability to harness the power of pure intention, which is totally detached of the outcomes of your actions. We talked about this concept before: you need to put your full attention on the process, not on the outcomes. You have probably felt it before, that sensation of losing track of time because you are fully immersed in the process, in the deep work. The opposite is true also when you had nothing done because you were too focused on the outcome that the process suffered. Let's take out our journals now. Where in your life are you too focused on your desires, on the outcomes, and not enough on the process? Are you more focused on the Ferrari you want to buy once you succeed than on the actual work to get you there? Or maybe the opposite? Are you too scared to fail, on the negative outcome that is, that you are procrastinating a process? In can be in any area of your life. Write it down, and make a plan so that you focus on the intent and not on the desire. Read? Set? Write. EMPOWERING AFFIRMATIONS OF THE DAY * Where intention flows, energy goes * I commit my one-pointed focus to my intentions * I love the process because I live with passion * Whatever the outcomes, I commit my focus to solving problems, transforming obstacles into opportunities, and continue on the path towards my dreams #success #spirituality #RaphaelReiter
